Yep, my comfy bed was my companion through out day and night for the past week. I was literally lying on it for 7 consecutive days! I was down with severe sore throat, then it lead to flu, the ever faithful friend to flu-cough came instantly and resulted 'hot war', yes, fever. Needless to say, I was off for a week :D
As usual, my ever loyal Ponstan treated me good, but it doesn't last for long. And so i thought i am recovering on day 3, happily looking forward to resume back for work on day 4, but as I'm preparing for work (it was night shift), i am feeling no where better. In fact, I'm feeling very dizzy. Many thoughts came into my mind, i am dizzy maybe because I have not had any solid food for the past days, or maybe is because of the pills. Text mum a message that i'm feeling dizzy, not going to work, and my Admin Person. On that particular evening, i had fever again, and this time i felt much weaker.
Dad insisted to rushed me to the hospital because he was afraid that i might get dengue fever. We were at the ED (Emergency Dept) I never never like medics, anything has to do with medic is a BIG NO NO to me. To check whether am I having dengue, I need to go for blood test. I was about to go insane when I heard it, i mean whenever I heard of all these poking and testing things, it just get me crazy :S
Dad and mum were consulting me, "don't look at it, just a little while only." Dad said, "ok ok, look at me look at me.." That moment, what I felt was the whole world was in a mess, my heart was beating faster and faster. Ok, its done. So, we waited for another hour for the blood test report. And i was being called to be consulted by another physician. After all the body check up and stuffs, doctor said I'm dehydrated "you need to go for drip, your body has lack of water, and you know you will collapse anytime."
The next thing, i did all i can to reject that offer :D my mind went wild, i don't know what I'm doing, all i know was I just kept refusing, no no no! I kept on distracting the nurse, i crapped a lot. But still... the needle eventually met the vein, it was a disaster, it was :'(
Well, the report was out and doctor claimed my blood test report is perfectly ok. Viral fever that's it. So in 1 and half hour I whacked down 3packs of glucose. And there's once, I didn't inform the nurse that the 2nd pack glucose was empty already, I saw my blood flew out instead. So as usual, nurse will yak and yak :D
And ya, when I was waiting for the nurse to unplug the hose that attached to my hand, the host actually off track a little and it hurt my vein, it went blue black instantly, very very painful. I cried like a baby but the nurse take their own sweet time to detach it.
Doctor kept repeating you have to drink lots of water. And so you people.
It was an experienced, painful experience :) I'm recovering very well now, can kungfu fight with you =P
