little monster

I wonder when only I will be able to call my day a merry one. Teaching is always fun, with the pay I'm depositing every month, it is exciting. Well, all thanks to the boss who willing to pay big. But I wanna work with an attitude, a behavior whereby I don't wanna just work because the pay is attractive, I wanna work whole heartedly.

And its very true that in an organization, no matter how much effort you've contributed in your work, it'll hardly be seen, instead, they point out and make big if you create a minor mistake. But for me, I don't count on that, as long as I do my part, make it right, and off I go.

I have this little monster (my student). Well, I know being a teacher I shouldn't have nicknamed any of my student. But, he has made my patient level tripped beyond the max. I've never encountered such thing who can made me feel this stress! I don't mind he is still young (12 years old) or I should say immature, but still, he must have got sensitivity towards what is or what's not to do, right?

This boy which I'm teaching, is 12 years of age, but petite in size, as in real short. Primary 6 kid but joining Primary 3 class. His peers who are also from Sayfol Int. School are all at intermediate class and they are huge in size, taller and bigger than me. This little thing here, I seriously don't understand whether I should put all the blames on him, or the PARENTS. He is acting very childishly, bad tempered, throw tantrum, hardly obey the teacher and what I can't tolerate is his courtesy. He is a daring kid.

They sat for monthly test last Friday, and so yesterday, I announced the result to 2 students who were presenced only, another absentee, I will let her know by the time she attends class. So this little thing kept on bugging me to announce the girl's result so he can compare, but of course I kept quiet. Break time came and I went to the loo, when I stepped back to the classroom after that, the 1st thing I saw was him, slamming my black folder and ran quickly back to his seat, giggling and refused to admit he sneaked my documents without permission. I stared sternly towards him, he looked at me with a giggling expression. I said: " I'll deduct 10marks, you have no manners at all!" So through out the whole session, he remained silent.

Then at one point he asked me,"teacher, you really deduct 10marks?" I replied:" Yes." without hesitation. Class went on and he asked again:" teacher can I hate you.." "of course you can, you can hate me, you can dislike me, I don't care." And then again, he did all his usual nonsence, slamming table, kicking the leg, scratching, slamming, knocking, all sorts of tantrum.

After class.. he left without a word, showing a face as if the whole world had against him or something. And I, can't be bothered.

p/s: there are more stories to be told.
